When you tell people that you’re organising your Mother-in-Law’s Surprise 60th you get met with one of two responses;
One - Why???
Two -That’s nice, but why???
My sister-in-law Erin and I decided on a Great Gatsby theme and set to work sourcing everything from feathers to champagne saucers. It took months of planning and was very expensive (thankfully my father-in-law was footing the bill).
The night was fabulous and looked incredible….right down to the champagne tower and bespoke centrepieces Erin created.
It was a labour of love! We enjoyed every minute!
What next? What do we do with all these decorations?
We started using any and every excuse to throw a party. Every insignificant birthday, every free Saturday night. We had a Hawaiian Luau in July, Mardi Gras in May. We had backyard BBQs, Italian dinner parties, Mexican fiestas and pool parties!
Again and again we wondered what do we do with all this stuff? Surely other people could use it?
Pass the Party was born! A way to make celebrating affordable and accessible for everyone! If you don’t have the time or the inclination….Pass the Party! If you don’t have a huge budget to buy everything…..Pass the Party! If you don’t what to be stuck storing boxes of decorations…..Pass the Party! The answer was simple.
With my ideas, Erin’s organisation and creativity and my mother-in-law Cathy’s experience having successfully owned and operated two businesses and her own creativity, we were the perfect team!
This is our passion, this is our dream job and we get to do it together!

Well here’s my answer, we’re family….and in this family we don’t hide crazy. We put it on the deck and give it a cocktail!
