    Included here are some Frequently Asked Questions we get asked. Hopefully they cover all you need to know about hiring party themes or buying party accessories from Pass The Party. However if there is something you still need answered, don't hesitate to get in contact with us. Go old school and give us a call on +64 21 599 879. 

    Where are you? 

    Pass the Party works out of two locations, our storage facility in Fernside, North Canterbury and our office in Redwood, Christchurch. Sometimes we work out of Cathy’s farm too, but that’s mostly brainstorming, And wine drinking.  

    What is your service area? 
    Our party theme packages and hire items can be delivered within Christchurch City, Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Fernside and Pegasus. Contact us if you would like to check if you’re within our service area. If you're outside of these areas, we may still be able to help you, just get in touch to discuss.

    Our partyware can be shipped to any street address New Zealand wide. Sorry, no PO Boxes or Private Bags. 

    What are the freight costs? 
    Our hire items can not be shipped, delivery is included in the hire price for these items.

    For our partyware sales, we send your order via tracked courier, and charge a flat rate of $8 per package for shipping within New Zealand. Orders over $100 are freight free. We reserve the right to amend these prices at any time without notice. 

    We do not ship orders internationally at this stage.

    Do you charge extra for Rural Delivery? 
    Nope! 

    How can I pay? 
    We accept payments through our online store using a credit card, Paypal or Google PayPlease contact us if you would like to discuss other options. 

    How secure is your website? 
    All transactions are secure and encrypted.

    Do you have a return policy? 
    We want you to love your Pass The Party experience! If you're not happy, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to reach a resolution. With shipped orders, we're happy to replace any items that arrive damaged. We may request photographic evidence to provide to our courier.

    I have a particular party theme in mind, can you help? 

    We love creating custom parties, just contact us and we’ll get the ball rolling. 

    Can I collect my order? 
    All online partyware orders will be couriered, and party packages delivered. We do not offer collection at this stage. 

    Can I layby? 
    Not at this stage, sorry. 

    Do I have to clean everything before it’s returned? 
    No need to do the washing, but we do ask that all china, cutlery, glassware and serveware is rinsed and towel dried, and that you ‘shake out’ any linen before being packed away. Well wash the items at our end. Do not wash any items in a dishwasher.  

    How long can I hire for? 
    Our theme packages and hire library items are a 3 day hire, usually we will deliver on the Friday and collect on the Sunday. Feel free to contact us if you would like a longer hire period. The minimum charge for all hire items including packages or individual items is the 3 day hire price. 

    Can I set up my party theme package myself? 
    Set up is included in our party theme packages, (other than the high tea boxes). There are some items included in each package which must be set up by Pass The Party (our backdrop stands, for example). Outside of this you are welcome to decorate as you choose. We are happy to discuss this with you either at the time of booking, or at the time of delivery. 

    Do I need to pay a bond? 
    Pricing for our party theme packages and some hire items includes a refundable bond. Further information can be found in our terms and conditions.  

    How do I secure my booking? 
    Payment in full secures your booking.

    What if we break something? 
    We will charge for any damage or breakage at current replacement value, and deduct this amount from your bond. If the value of the damage or breakage is more than the bond, we will invoice for any outstanding costs.  

    What if I need to cancel? 
    We know things can change, so if you cancel with more than 7 days notice of delivery we’ll refund your payment, less a $50 fee. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice will incur a $100 fee.
